Megadeth’s David Ellefson Jams With School of Rock Fairfax Band In Los Angeles

Megadeth‘s David Ellefson has jammed with some of the greats over the years, and it’s entirely possible that he’s just jammed with a future great as well. Ellefson is the latest musician to show his support for music education by jamming with students from the School of Rock program.

Ellefson took the stage with the School of Rock Fairfax house band in Los Angeles on Friday, rocking through a couple of Megadeth favorites in the process. As you can see in the video above, “Peace Sells” and these kids are buying and they keep up with one of the originators of the song.

The bassist also joined the youths on “Symphony of Destruction” and the kids proved quite capable on the Countdown to Extinction favorite. Check out that performance below.

Megadeth are currently between albums, though their next disc is rapidly approaching. The band had to restock after the late 2014 exits of Chris Broderick and Shawn Drover, but by early 2015, they began working with Angra guitarist Kiko Loureiro and Lamb of God drummer Chris Adler. The band is in the final process of putting the disc together, with a late 2015 or early 2016 release expected.
