Halestorm Continue Acoustic Performances With ‘Apocalyptic’ Video

If we’ve learned anything over the past few years, it’s that Halestorm love to play live. They’ve consistently been one of the hardest touring bands in the business. But during a brief detour from the concert stage back in April of this year, the band ducked in to the Atlantic Records Recording Studios in New York City where they took part in an acoustic session.

Though it’s not the full throttle Halestorm that fans have become accustomed to seeing onstage, Halestorm still enjoy rocking out in a more intimate setting. Having recently posted acoustic videos of “New Modern Love” and “What Sober Couldn’t Say” from the Into the Wild Life album, it’s now time for Halestorm to show off how their major hit single “Apocalyptic” sounds in this different arrangement and setting.

As you can hear, this stripped-back version really lets the listener pick up on the groove provided by the guitars and beats. It’s a soulful vibe we’re getting out of this rendition of the hit song.

“Apocalyptic” is featured on Halestorm’s Into the Wild Life album, which also generated radio hits in “Amen” and “I am the Fire” this year. Look for Halestorm returning to the road in Europe as their first major jaunt of 2016. They’ll also be part of the ShipRocked Cruise setting sail on Jan. 18 in Miami. Dates can be found here.
