Evanescence’s Amy Lee Involved in Score for Short Film ‘Indigo Grey: The Passage’

Amy Lee may be back playing dates with Evanescence this fall and deciding the band’s next step, but her recent foray into music scoring is something she’s still pursuing as well.

In 2014, Lee teamed up with composer Dave Eggar to create music for a film called War Story and released the music on a disc called Aftermath. Now she’s back at work with Eggar and Chuck Palmer, contributing a score for the new short film Indigo Grey: The Passage, which can be seen above.

The seven-minute film finds a young boy who enters an empty room and finds a gas mask in the middle of the room. Once he puts the mask on, he unlocks a world in which similarly masked men enter the room and perform a combination Irish dance / martial arts routine. The film recently premiered at the 2015 Los Angeles International Short Film Festival and has been selected to screen at 14 international film festivals.

As stated, Lee is returning to Evanescence for a handful of shows in November. They’ll play three U.S. dates as well as taking the stage at Ozzfest Japan. See where they’re playing here. The band also revealed that guitarist Terry Balsamo is no longer with the group, with Jen Majura taking over his spot in the band.
