On Sunday night, KISS singer-bassist Gene Simmons, actor Johnny Depp and former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke teamed up to perform renditions of KISS songs for charity. You can check out fan-filmed footage of the group performing “Deuce,” with Simmons on lead above, along with “Rock And Roll All Nite” below.
The charity concert was held to benefit Mending Kids, an organization that provides life-changing surgical care to children around the world. Head here to learn more about that organization. Extreme’s Gary Cherone and Nuno Bettencourt also performed at the charity show. The gig took place at Lucky Strike Live in L-A and the event was open to the public with general admission tickets going for $150.
This isn’t the first time Hollywood actor Depp has been caught jamming with Rock N’ Rollers. He has performed “The Beautiful People” onstage with Marilyn Manson and strummed “Gold On the Ceiling” and “Lonely Boy” with the Black Keys during the 2012 MTV Movie Awards.
The actor is currently in the rock group Hollywood Vampires alongside Alice Cooper and Aerosmith’s Joe Perry. Earlier this month the group revealed details about their self-titled debut disc. It comes out Sept. 11 and their lead single will be a medley of Cooper’s “School’s Out” and Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 2.” All proceeds from the album will benefit the MusicCares Organization.
