Who loves guitar? If you do, there’s one tour you will not want to miss this year and it’s the newly announced “Generation Axe” trek. Five of the top hard rock and metal guitar players in the world will be touring together for dates beginning in April, making for a “can’t miss” show.

Steve Vai, Zakk Wylde, Yngwie Malmsteen, Nuno Bettencourt and Tosin Abasi fill out the inaugural touring lineup. “The Generation Axe show is a unique performance of five fiercely talented guitar players coming together to create a 6-string extravaganza that is sure to amaze and delight” commented Steve Vai on the tour.

The show will not only feature individual sets by each guitarist, but all five guitar greats will collaborate, including one performance where they form a cohesive band that’s filled out by bassist Pete Griffin and keyboardist Nick Marinovich. It’s expected that each musician will not only tackles songs from their respective catalogs, but will also have some surprises in store.

The tour gets underway April 5 in Seattle and continues into early May, wrapping May 8 in Providence, R.I. Ticketing for shows begins this Friday (Feb. 19), and there will also be front row, VIP and meet and greet packages available. For more information, stay tuned to the Generation Axe website.
