Slipknot’s Corey Taylor, Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe + More Rock L.A. With Teenage Time Killers

Los Angeles got an amazing treat over the weekend with a three-hour debut performance from Teenage Time Killers. The rag-tag group of underground rock and metal heroes including Slipknot / Stone Sour‘s Corey Taylor, Lamb of God‘s Randy Blythe, Prong / Danzig‘s Tommy Victor, Clutch‘s Neil Fallon, Corrosion of Conformity‘s Reed Mullin and many others.

Imagine an all-star jam session with all these dudes plus over a dozen others. It happened Sept. 12 at the Fonda Theatre in Hollywood, Calif. Most of the show was dedicated to ’80s punk and metal, a renowned golden age for underground music.

Randy Blythe worked the crowd into a frenzy with a rendition of Black Flag‘s “My War” (see below). D.C. hardcore veterans Void were also honored during the show, as Municipal Waste / Iron Reagan vocalist Tony Foresta yelled through “Ignorant People” and “Time to Die.” He even worked the crowd while the megaband jammed the opening minute of Slayer‘s “Raining Blood.”

The night closed with Corey Taylor performing a myriad of tracks, capping it off with covers of Black Flag’s “Rise Above” and the Misfits‘ “Where Eagles Dare.” A bunch of vocalists that previously rocked the stage joined Corey for the two cuts, so watch Corey ain’t being “no g–damn son of a b-tch” with his buds in the clip above.
