Singer Brent Smith told The Pulse Of Radio that rock music never really goes away even if its sales go up and down. “It will always go in cycles,” he said. “The thing that’s never going to change and the beauty of it is, is that nothing will ever, ever take the place of drums, bass, guitar, badass vocals and a killer song. And that’s what the heartbeat is of what rock ‘n’ roll truly, truly is.”
“Threat To Survival” is the third SHINEDOWN album to enter the chart in the Top 10, following “Amaryllis” and 2008’s “The Sound Of Madness”, which debuted at No. 8.
The first single from the album, “Cut The Cord”, recently reached the top of the rock radio airplay chart.
All 19 of SHINEDOWN’s singles over the years have reached the Top 10 or higher.
SHINEDOWN will kick off a major U.S. tour on October 2 in Mobile, Alabama. They’ll be joined by BREAKING BENJAMIN and SEVENDUST on most of the shows.
