Search Warrant Served At GENE SIMMONS’s Home

According to CNN.com, detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force served a search warrant Thursday at the home of Gene Simmons, but the KISS bassist/vocalist and his family are not considered suspects.

“No one in the the Simmons family is a suspect in this investigation,” police said in a statement.

Authorities did not provide additional information, citing an ongoing investigation.

A representative for Simmons confirmed to KTLA in a statement that police came to the family’s home Thursday “to discuss a crime that may have occurred on their property last year while Simmons was away on tour with KISS.”

The statement read in part: “Neither Mr. Simmons nor any member of his family is a person of interest in the investigation and they are cooperating fully with the investigation.”

On her Facebook page, Simmons’s wife Shannon wrote: “OMG this is one crazy day update: all of our iPhones iPads and computers are cleared. Now the real investigation can start !”
