JANE’S ADDICTION was honored with the Elmer Valentine Award at last year’s Sunset Strip Music Festival (SSMF), on the famed Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, California. The Elmer Valentine Award celebrates the music and icons that have made an impact on the legacy of The Strip.
Since launching its career with its first live performance at The Roxy in 1985, JANE’S ADDICTION has continued to influence the sound and artistic spirit of rock and roll on the Sunset Strip and beyond. Last year the group celebrated the 25th anniversary of its groundbreaking album “Nothing’s Shocking”, and original members Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro and Stephen Perkins continue to pave the way for alternative rock bands worldwide.
JANE’S ADDICTION, which has broken up and reunited several times since forming in 1985, released its fourth studio album, “The Great Escape Artist”, in 2011 and a concert album/DVD called “Live In NYC” in 2013.
