According to Billboard.com, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH’s has landed its third consecutive No. 2 album on The Billboard 200 chart with its latest release, “Got Your Six”, having shifted 119,000 equivalent album units in the week ending September 10.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA).
In terms of pure album sales (as reflected on the Top Album Sales chart), “Got Your Six” is the top-selling album of the week, having sold 114,000 copies, which is also FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH’s best sales week ever, surpassing the 112,000 launch of 2013’s No. 2-peaking “The Wrong Side Of Heaven And The Righteous Side Of Hell: Volume 1”.
FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH bassist Chris Kael said in a new interview with Uproxx that he had high hopes for “Got Your Six”, and that topping The Billboard 200 chart was one of the group’s goals. Kael explained, “We’ve had two Billboard No. 2 albums and I think a No. 3, as well, so with ‘Got Your Six’, I really want to call the Knuckleheads (hardcore fans of FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH) to arms! Let’s get this thing to No. 1.”
Kael added: “We’re very fortunate that, at a time when people aren’t buying as many records as they used to back in the day, we still have a very supportive fan base hitting iTunes or buying physical copies of our music in record stores, and I fully expect that we’re going to come out swinging and join our brothers in DISTURBED with a No. 1 album as well.”
