DAVE MUSTAINE Checks In From Airplane On Way To Start Of MEGADETH’s Tour

On February 18, MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine posted a new video on Periscope, a live video streaming platform owned by Twitter, in which he can be seen sitting in the business or first class section of an airplane as the plane is about to take off. Check out the five-and-a-half-minute clip below.

MEGADETH‘s North American headlining tour is scheduled to kick off on February 20 in Dallas, Texas. Joining the band on most of the dates will be SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, CHILDREN OF BODOM and HAVOK.

MEGADETH‘s new album, “Dystopia”, debuted at No. 3 on The Billboard 200, having shifted 49,000 equivalent album units in the week ending January 28.

In terms of pure album sales, “Dystopia” opened with 48,000 copies, marking MEGADETH‘s highest-charting album since 1992’s “Countdown To Extinction” debuted and peaked at No. 2 on the chart dated August 1 of that year. “Dystopia” also logged the group’s best sales week since 2007, when “United Abominations” landed at No. 8 with first-week sales of 54,000.

In addition to Mustaine, MEGADETH‘s current lineup includes bassist David Ellefson, LAMB OF GOD drummer Chris Adler and Brazilian guitarist Kiko Loureiro, best known for his work with ANGRA.
