It may not be “throwback Thursday,” but it’s never a bad time for a little nostalgia. The year was 1993 and Nirvana were the biggest band on the planet and a 6-year-old girl named Kelsey Rohr found herself in the midst of all of it, joining the trio in the “Heart-Shaped Box” video. Flash forward 23 years and Rohr is a full grown adult, who recently had a chance to reconnect with one of Nirvana’s members.
In a new Instagram post, Rohr shared a photo of herself with Dave Grohl. Her commentary on the post reads, “Today Dave Grohl and I picked up right where we left off 23 years ago on set of Nirvana’s last music video ‘Heart-Shaped Box.’ Today reminded me that I peaked at 6 years old BUT I was the most badass kid on the playground. Today was the absolute coolest. Or in Dave’s words seeing each other today was a ‘historic moment!’ What a legend!!”
In the Anton Corbijn-directed “Heart-Shaped Box” video, Rohr appeared in a white robe with a peaked cap reaching for tiny fetuses in a tree. Revisit the original “Heart-Shaped Box” video above (Rohr appears around the 1:28 mark), then check out Rohr’s Instagram post below:

This is not the first time a child from Nirvana’s past has resurfaced. A few years ago, the college-aged Spencer Elden resurfaced in association with the 20th anniversary of Nirvana’s Nevermind album. Elden appeared as the baby famously swimming toward the almighty dollar in the pool on the cover of the disc. See what he looked like here.
Nirvana’s Nevermind went on to be certified for Diamond sales of over 10 million copies. Meanwhile, the follow-up In Utero reached five times platinum in sales.
