Norwegian black metal documentary “Blackhearts” has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo with perks that are unlike anything ever seen from campaigns connected with black metal or heavy metal music.
The makers of “Blackhearts” are attempting to raise $15,000 for the finalization of the post-production of their film. Over $1,000 has already been donated. The campaign will go on until December 17.
The perks are a collection of mostly one-of-a-kind items that have been donated to the campaign by the godfathers of Norwegian black metal: members of MAYHEM, DARKTHRONE, ENSLAVED, THORNS, SATYRICON, EMPEROR, KEEP OF KALESSIN and more.
The perks include $150 for a Skype chat with Nocturno Culto of DARKTHRONE, $200 for getting your band’s logo to the end credits, VIP festival passes ranging from $300 to 400, $450 for a partly burned studded nail wristband used by Frost of SATYRICON, $800 for a KEEP OF KALESSIN rehearsal jam and $1500 for an executive producer credit on the film. You can even buy a share of producer Christian Falch’s soul for $10.
“If we reach our goal with this campaign,” says producer and co-director Christian Falch, “I’ll travel to Colombia on my own expence and sell my soul to Satan himself, just to say thank you!”
“Blackhearts” is a feature-length documentary film that follows three extreme black metal fans — from Iran, Colombia and Greece — as they travel with their bands to Norway, the birthplace of the music that has formed their lifestyle.
