LAST IN LINE has scheduled the following tour dates:

Apr. 23 – Frontiers Rock Festival III – Milan, Italy
May 24 – Ramona Mainstage – Ramona, CA
May 25 – Whisky A Go Go – West Hollywood, CA
May 27 – Rocklahoma – Pryor, OK
These shows will mark LAST IN LINE’s first official appearances without bassist Jimmy Bain, who died on January 23 aboard DEF LEPPARD’s inaugural “Hysteria On The High Seas” cruise. He was 68 years old.
The surviving members of LAST IN LINE were joined by CINDERELLA bassist Eric Brittingham aboard the ship to play a special set in memory of Bain, who died the previous night.
Bain, along with drummer Vinny Appice and guitarist Vivian Campbell, was part of the original DIO lineup, which reunited in 2012 alongside singer Andrew Freeman to form LAST IN LINE.
Campbell stated about LAST IN LINE’s upcoming shows: “It’s been a difficult decision to move forward and play without Jimmy, but Vinny, Andrew and I have decided to play a very limited number of shows with a great guest bass player. In advance of LAST IN LINE playing the Frontiers festival in Milan on April 23rd, we’ll play a warm-up show at Vamp’d in Las Vegas on April 14th. Hope to see some of you there.”
LAST IN LINE’s debut album, “Heavy Crown”, was released on February 19 via Frontiers Music Srl. The CD was recorded at a Southern California studio with producer Jeff Pilson, a veteran bassist who has played with DIO, FOREIGNER, DOKKEN and T&N, among others.
When LAST IN LINE formed, the intent was to celebrate Ronnie James Dio’s early work by reuniting the members of the original DIO lineup. After playing shows that featured a setlist composed exclusively of material from the first three DIO albums, the band decided to move forward and create new music in a similar vein.
LAST IN LINE takes its name from the second DIO album released in 1984. Appice, Bain and Campbell were Ronnie James Dio’s co-conspirators and co-writers on the “Holy Diver”, “The Last In Line” and “Sacred Heart” albums — the records that defined the classic early DIO sound and have gone on to become part of rock history.
