Ashmedi of Mesopotamian black/thrash pioneers MELECHESH joined SOULFLY on stage on August 5 at the Brutal Assault festival in the Czech Republic to perform the SEPULTURA classic “Territory”. Video footage of his appearance can be seen below.
Former SEPULTURA and current SOULFLY frontman Max Cavalera makes a guest appearance on MELECHESH’s latest album, “Enki”, which came out in March via Nuclear Blast.
SOULFLY’s tenth studio album, “Archangel”, was released on August 14 via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. The CD was produced by Matt Hyde, who has previously worked with SLAYER and CHILDREN OF BODOM. The cover artwork was created by artist Eliran Kantor (TESTAMENT, ICED EARTH, SODOM).
In 1996, Max exited SEPULTURA after the rest of the band fired Cavalera’s wife Gloria as their manager.
