Christian metalcore act UNDERØATH will embark on the U.S. “Rebirth Tour” next spring. The band will perform the “They’re Only Chasing Safety” and “Define The Great Line” albums in their entirety at the shows, which kick off on March 16 in St. Petersburg, Florida and wrap on April 23 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Commented UNDERØATH guitarist Tim McTague: “I think the thought of UNDERØATH playing again seemed really exciting. We never thought we’d ever even want to play together again, much less be as excited to do so. It was a really cool feeling, and when discussing what this tour could be, it just felt right to play the two albums that our fans have held dearly for so many years. I think it’s going to be really special.”
Added UNDERØATH vocalist Spencer Chamberlain: “I hated the idea of UNDERØATH being ‘over,’ and I’m not sure what we are, but we are all friends again, and that’s really the most important thing. That being said, we felt like now is a great time to do a tour and celebrate ‘Define The Great Line’ turning ten.”
Pre-sale tickets are available now via underoath.merchline.com. VIP packages feature an assortment of items including an exclusive, limited-edition, double vinyl reissue of the two releases as well as t-shirts, soundcheck access, etc. General on-sales begin on August 28 at 10 a.m.
“They’re Only Chasing Safety” and “Define The Great Line” were released in 2004 and 2006, respectively, with both albums receiving gold certification. “Define The Great Line” debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard Top 200 chart and led the Florida outfit to a Grammy nomination for their “Writing On The Walls” video.
