SIXX: A.M., the band featuring MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx alongside guitarist DJ Ashba and vocalist James Michael, has hired Dustin Steinke of the Canadian rock group BLEEKER RIDGE as its permanent drummer.
Based in Orillia, Ontario, BLEEKER RIDGE was previously signed to the Canadian branch of Roadrunner Records and completed work on another album with Michael at the production helm.
Steinke made his live debut with SIXX: A.M. in February 2015 at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, Japan as part of Vampark Fest hosted by the rock band VAMPS. He has since completed a U.S.headlining tour with SIXX: A.M. and is expected to appear on the group’s upcoming double album, to be released in two parts this year.
Nikki previously said that SIXX: A.M.’s new effort would contain over 22 songs and would be tied in with a 24-month world tour.
SIXX: A.M.’s third album, “Modern Vintage”, was released on October 7, 2014 via Eleven Seven Music.
