Every once in a while, you get a clip that reminds you of what the music video format can truly do. And it looks as though we’re about to get something pretty epic from former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal. The musician has shot a video with director Vojan Koceic for “Don’t Know Who To Pray To Anymore” that will debut right here at Loudwire on Nov. 23, but the teaser for the seven-minute plus video just debuted this week via Guitar World.
As can be seen in the teaser trailer above, we get a number of people in pretty dire circumstances. There’s the bullied kid who finds a gun, there’s a mourning mother, there’s a suicidal man just let go from his job and you’ve got a group of nightclubbing party girls who we all get glimpses of in the teaser. How does it all tie together? You’ll have to come back on Nov. 23 to find out.
“This song speaks for those that feel lost, betrayed, disillusioned, when we question all we believe in. When we start to lash out, and punish ourselves.” says Thal in a statement. “This is a song about being in this place, in our own personal purgatory. We know we need to heal, but we’re not ready to let go.”
The video was quite the undertaking, as they filmed in three countries at 12 locations. You see Thal and his group performing in some pretty picturesque locales, such as the ancient Roman ruins along the Jordanian border and the Wester Wall in Jerusalem, as well as Croatia’s Fortress of Klis and the Diocietian Palace. Come back on Nov. 23 as Loudwire premieres the full video for Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal’s “Don’t Know Who To Pray To Anymore.”
