Formed in 2009 back in school, and after several line-up changes and successful participations in band contests, everything started to fall in place for AWAITING DOWNFALL starting 2013.
They continued songwriting and released the demo EP “No One Will Be Spared” in 2014, which was received well both by fans and the press alike. Fueled by the positive feedback, AWAITING DOWNFALL decided to record their first full-length soon.
AWAITING DOWNFALL plays a mix between thrash metal and classic heavy metal with modern influences. They’re certainly no strangers on stage, besides numerous club shows, they also played at festivals like the Phönix Open Air or the Big Day Out. New gigs are already planned.
Today’s line-up consists of vocalist and guitarist Maximilian Gockel, bassist and backing vocalist Santiago Vadillo Sánchez, guitarist and backing vocalist Martin Lohmann as well as drummer Philippe Labonde.
AWAITING DOWNFALL’s debut album – produced, mixed and mastered by Seeb Levermann of Orden Ogan – is entitled “Distant Call” and will be released this summer via Massacre Records!
